Not What We Dreamed

This is a piece I composed for a callback audition for Anon WritePony's's project, My Little Musical. The goal of this part of the audition was to write a piece inspired by an episode of MLP:FiM. I picked "The Best Night Ever" and used inspiration from the episode's plot and the song within it to compose what I thought a musical number bridging the beginning and the end would sound like. I have lyrics for it, but none are actually sung in the song. Enjoy!

(Oh, by the way, I've been working on At the Gala, but it's a big song. I'll get it done ASAP! :P)

As a side note, I just want to thank you from the very bottom of my heart for doing what you do. In a sea of electronica/techno music (which is fine, except that I don't like either genre), your songs are a breath of fresh air.

As for your side note, I've always preferred orchestral songs better than techno and electronica, and it always feels great to hear the full sounds of strings and brass and everything else come together instead of something entirely synthetic. I'm really glad that I can make music the way I love it and, in turn, give people a break from everything else in the process! =3
