this video is complete bs. nobody seriously into gopro filming uses a wooden pole! good luck using it in water or snow. there are much better videos showing how to make a professional looking mounting pole for $10 or even less money, this is crap.

go to any plastics shop and get yourself a piece of clear plastic in the diameter and length of your choice, square, round, triangle...if you live in a larger urban area it's cheap and easy to get.

probably not good in the water but good for longboarding.
