Ganzi, at 3800 metres above sea level, is high on the Tibetan Plateau. Although administratively Sichuan, at this point we are in deep Tibet culturally, and you can see it all around.

hey there i've watched a couple of your videos and im very interested in making a trip to tibet. im planning to ride from singapore to tibet and visit mt everest base camp in 2013. i would like to know if we could ride our own vehicles into china and tibet. is the entry permit to tibet difficult to get? how's the procedures like? and also, how would u advice us riding at those road conditions.

@skriptkidjc, you don't need to be rish to travel around China. Everything is dirt cheap there, at least for now.

for now... because with the current economic growth China will be more like EU in a few more years... As long as this keeps up.
