Walking in Walters Shoes is about the homeless youth population that is underserved by service providers. This short upcoming documentary explores the question as to why we are not making a reduction in new HIV infections in Long Beach when two undesired populations collide. The Homeless and the Meth Drug User.
Each populations' co-factor is often Meth. But the Homeless are just trying to survive in their hopelessness; and meth-users who are just chasing the next high. Walking in Walter's Shoes addresses what the homeless already know; that services are availble where there is funding and not for those where there is no funding. This program explores the Foundation's new program, Block by Block, to find solutions to solving the one area that may finally make an impact on reducing new HIV infections.
