  • who is the musical artists? those are good tunes!

  • @JustAnotherFamily : the artist is Zoot Sims.

  • Could you upload the original .mts video to Megaupload, Rapidshare, ..., please?

I'm very interested in this camera but I don't know if the video quality is really good for me or not, and in Youtube, Vimeo, ... I've never seen the real quality.

    Thank you very much.

  • Sorry, I dont think I even have the original footage.

But if you want my opinion on video quality, It's not all that great. To much contrast with very little dynamic range.

But for a little waterproof pocket camera that takes decent photos, I can't really complain.

  • i dont mean to do this on this video, but i have nowhere else to post it..

YOUTUBE why the heck do you post these stupid ad's at the bottom of videos.. your starting to make me hate youtube, and alot of other people agree im sure..

The EXACT same ad is blocking the bottom of the video, and being displayed to the right of the video as well.. if i wouldnt click the one on the right, why do you insist on blocking a 1/4 of the vid aswell.

    Stop the SHINANAGINS!!!

  • cool, thanks for the tips. I'm a professional motorsports photographer, so that helps, but I'm no good at generic photography, haha.

Thanks for the tips, I'm sure it will help everyone!

  • ...to avoid a cheap camcorder look.

So just have fun with it! Oh, and did I say use a tripod? Good luck!

  • Lay off the Zoom when filming... This also adds to that amateur look.

When editing, keep each clip really short in length. Don't let any scene drag out too long. I try to keep the audience wanting more rather than risk showing too much and putting them to sleep.

In most of my videos I prefer a muted unsaturated, low contrast look. This is just my preference. Amateur cameras, especially the TS1 and other point and shoots really want to blow out the highlights in check to avoid a...

  • Thanks for the comment. Sorry, I don't really have any tips regarding references on how to shoot.

For me I started with a photography base and worked from there. Lot's of the "framing" and angles for photography apply to video and film.

Some other tips, always shoot with a tripod whenever possible. That is the biggest tip to get a more professional look. Shaky footage screams amateur. (this video is a perfect example of bad footage! It's really shaky)

Lay off the Zoom when filming...

  • you obviously have some talent at video making, what's the best reference for amateurs to step up their video skills? like, what footage to get and how to edit it for best effect.
