PF-BR - Bitumen Removal Power Cables

This video shows the bitumen removal process using PF-BR bitumen remover wipes. PF-BR are extra large, heavily saturated wipes specifically designed for the bitumen removal process during electrical operations. Use for cable cleaning prior to jointing and maintenance of cables, switchgear and network equipment. Provides residue free cleaning that removes oils, soils, tar and bitumen.

The extra large wipe size benefits the user in two distinct ways;
1) Cleans the whole diameter of the hot cable without touching
2) Replaces the requirement for many smaller wipes, reducing time and wastage during cable preparation, resulting in significant cost savings

PF-BR wipes are suitable for use on static and live cables; low, medium and high voltage applications (up to 440kV). The bucket wipe system eliminates flammable liquid solvents - no more issues with hazardous transport, storage & logistics. Other benefits include reduced solvent consumption, reduced VOC emissions and improved health & safety in the workplace. Cloth approved to AMS 3819C Standard.
