Louie's First Kayak Fishing Trip at HotDitch - Feb 20, 2010

Louie, Jerry and Joe kayak fished Hot Ditch (Elizabeth River, Chesapeake, VA). It was Louies first kayak fishing trip. The weather was perfect. We got some bites on various lures though we didnt catch any fish. We enjoyed just being out on the water in winter. Perhaps we will catch some next time.

Yeah I don't know that I'll ever make it back there. With Rudee and Lynnhaven, why bother?

You gave me a good info. That is fish Hot Ditch only in January or on cold days in February when there are less people fishing.

I think I may hit Lake Anna Dike 3 this Saturday. I bet there will be many anglers on the water

If you didn't make it today, you didn't miss anything. Very windy, many boats. No one caught anything. I had no idea you had to pay to launch.

It will get worse when the air temp rises in the most of fishing area. Everybody want to fish after the long winter break. I think Hot Ditch will get worse because of the heavy traffic on the shallow and small water.

I live 3 hours and 15 minutes away from Hot Ditch. I may hit Hot Ditch if one of my friends wants me to come on this Saturday(Mar 6).

Otherwise I will go to Lake Anna Dike 3.

We were fishing during outgoing tide. There were many boats. It was slow day for everybody. If I go there I will look for you.

I can't take it anymore man, I have to get out there--maybe this Sunday. Look for a yellow OK Prowler 13. What tide were you fishing this time?
