@Heyzeusss how did you get the 3" plugs to fit into the 3" pvc?
-
haven't tried them yet myself. i personally think a roller would do a better job, because its the weight of the roller that pushes the grass down. if you could get a fair amount of pressure pushing the broom head down i think it might work well. but i don't know how you would mount it.

i don;t think that it will hurt the roller if you drive it on the pavement. when its filled with sand and gravel it is pretty heavy.
i would try to weld some tabs on the side of the mower. then use a steel bar as a pivot to lift up the roller, and the put the steel bar under one of the welded tabs to hold it in place. you might need to do this on both sides of the mower.
otherwise i would suggest trying a broom head - might be cheaper and easier to maintain.

I have a SRX75 which is very similar to yours. Do you have any idea on how I could fabricate on that I can raise and lower or easily detatch and attach? I run a lawn service but often drive it on the road so I wouldnt want to always have it on.
Thanks

@zjbeast do they look better then rollers?

you can use broom heads also.
How much does your roller weigh, built a roller buts its not heavy enough.

i haven't put the roller on a scale - but i would say it weighs about 10lbs. i filled it with pea gravel. i also keep my lawn at 4 inches which helps magnify the striping effect.

you can also use heavy chain instead of rollers

i always assumed that the chains would get in the way of the wheels, which is why i haven't tried them. i suppose if you built a bracket to keep them far enough away it would be okay.
