Secret of Evermore - (13/14) 100% speedrun in 2:04

This is a tool-assisted speedrun of Secret of Evermore, that aims for 100% completion in order to show everything the game has to offer, while still beating it as fast as possible. It also shows alot of speed tricks and rare glitches I discovered between 1995 and 1997 that allowed to shorten the completion time (which is only 2 hours and 4 minutes) even more - most noticeably the Atlas-glitch.

Conditions that had to be met for this 100% run:
- getting at least 1 of every item, ingredient, armor, etc.
- getting all alchemy formulas / spells
- defeating all bosses
- showing every sidequest / storyline

Part 13:
Getting the Energy Core and returning back to Omnitopia to head straight into Carltron's chamber to fight the final bosses. Showing the first part of the ending.

Important note:
After getting the last formula right before starting the final boss fights, I sacrifice some time in this video to show off all the items, alchemy formulas and other stuff that was collected over the entire run, to prove that this run indeed meets the 100% conditions I listed above. This is however a special edition I did for this video exclusively. In the original run that is available on TASvideos, I obviously skipped this item show off, to not waste time unnecessarily.

excellent run. Im loving it

can you explain why you always used horn spear and why ur attack is that incrediblyhigh ? ive just played that game on real snes as well and ive done it just like u, increasing the arnold spell to lvl 2 but it doesnt make nearly as much damage as ur one. How come?

also, can u describe which "certain actions" do u do to get ur slow burn to lvl 80?

And how to get 65,529 attack ?^^ damn! you fucking raped this game, lol. just excellent

Thanks. The high attack power is achieved with the Atlas/Arnold glitch, which requires a save and reload in order to work. I described the steps for it thoroughly in the 9th part of this run.

As for the Slow Burn glitch, I just found it accidentally in one of my playthroughs, and I unfortunately don't know the exact actions you have to do for it, since there are just too many possibilities to find out. Just try to use similar strategies as this run, and it should eventually work out by itself.

Why do you use the horn spear instead of any of the other given weapons at your disposal...

Sorry, I overlooked this one before. I used the Horn Spear because it allows the boy to run slightly faster than with any other weapon except the Bazooka, and it also has the fastest hit frequency including a small step forward during a hit, allowing you to save a bit of distance as well.

@Xaera damn. where did you lvl up at? im at lvl 36 on my newest file and im doing a non tool assisted run. i would like to get to lvl 99 but..... thats gonna be hard and you really dont need nearly that to beat this game.
