Dear Ash,

In 1998 I saw you for the first time. You were already older than me by a few years so

what you were doing went a little over my head, but I still played the games and watched the shows.And the concept of an absent father was very familiar.I know you never had much of a chance to know yours, but mine just seemed so disinterested.In 2000 my father had passed away, seeing him for last time motionless as he was, felt strange.

Like I was saying goodbye to a stranger, and to every chance in knowing him. I felt an emptiness from him never being there,still do today.Being raised by mom alone was a bit scary, she always had only just enough cash to get by, but I'm able to help now so she can relax a little. 12 years later, I can see you have done so much by now, I still like to watch the shows every now and again, and the games are still fun no matter what people say. And I hope that those letters found their way.
