A song by David Rovics at the Peace & Justice Fair, Vancouver, Wa. 12 sept 2009 promoting justice for the pirates of Somalia in light of the fact that their historical fishing grounds have been decimated by modern fishing methods, as well as the political instability introduced by outside powers during the recent past.

Well, I guess Somali pirates might seem heroic from a distance, especially to armchair anarchists far removed from the situation. The fact that the pirates routinely torture sailors that they hold hostage is a detail you conveniently overlook, of course. But, hey, merchant sailors are just capitalist tools and probably have it coming, I guess.

The toxic waste only makes a very dire place much harder to live for families and children and they know that no one will intervine because there is no Government to STOP it!!
