Wow, CityTV, when it was good and owned by Moses Znaimer, before Rogers came in and killed the soul this network once had.

JD Roberts. Another good news talent we lost to the US. No thanks to greedy news people like Lloyd Robertson on CTV who held onto the chair until age 90 and not giving younger people a chance.

i saw a clip on youtube of kevin frankish at that same assignment desk that glen cole used in this clip wow dejavu

watching this clip for the nth time, and trying to visualize the city newsroom at 299 back then against today's--that assignment desk where glen cole sat is now that same desk where kevin frankish and mark dailey anchor the news for BT and at 5:30pm, respectively--the monitors seen on the area now are, perhaps, where the big TO map (behind mr. cole here) used to be...

i read somewhere that he was still quite young when he passed on--in his late 40s or early 50s, if i remember right...

cool! :) looks like she went practically the same path that JD took during his stint at queen street--hosting a show on much while doing the entertainment beat on city, then moving up to hard news (and anchoring the late-night newscast--only she did it in vancouver instead of TO) after a few years...
1:07 - that was monika deol, right? she of "electric circus" fame who would later anchor "citypulse tonight" in vancouver (when CHUM/city acquired CKVU-TV in the early 2000s)...

glen cole used that same citytv mug on his desk all throughout his stint...
the crimestoppers reenactments seem to have been a "citypulse tonight" staple, yes? i saw a lot of these when "rewind" (on the old CP24) replayed "citypulse tonight" broadcasts...

Yes the Crime stoppers reenactments were plentiful, and always golden.

They had them on CityPulse at 6 as well.
London's CFPL did these for many years as well.
