  • Wonderful game! - at such a high level, I wonder how much of an advantage is it to share a similar opening repetoire with your partner?

  • It's quite important to a least know some theory and most importantly the kind of ideas that exist in many kinds of positions.

  • 2 on 2 i like the idea! ha it looks like you just decided it was going to be you for the last minute!

  • Sure, in the last minute of a tandem game it's usual for only one player to finish the game. Normally it is agreed before the game starts who will be the player who will finish the game when only one minute is left. We had agreed I would finish.

  • yes this is a great site. I also have never heard of playing this way. How often does your opponent make a move that frustrates you?

  • Normally you should foresee your opponent's moves but unfortunately quite often you get surprised. That's the fun of chess, to have to figure out what to do to outwit your opponent.

  • superb last resource to draw the game! at what time did you see you could use your rook and queen for a tactic that would win the queen if black's king went on the a file?

  • Ruslan Ponomariov is a very good player, congrats on drawing him

  • Fantastic video! It's the first time I saw this type of mixed-game in chess. It's not at all bizzare (as someone has commented) -- it looks super fun! I think it must work equally well (if not even better) for games played by players of a lower level, because the lines of calculation are shorter. (On the other hand, for less experienced players' it may be much more difficult to know what you're teammate was aiming for :D).

  • This type of play is just too bizarre for me. But, this vid is instructive enough.

  • Ola belo video continuem a postar.

  • That was a very good and brave sacrifice, using a bishop to free up a pawn for promotion.

  • A nice game world champion

I think it was really fun ..I believe if you had had more time you would have played for a win in the final position since Qxe6 wins threatening d5 with a check so black would play Qa5 with a double check you grab the g3 pawn

Thank you and good luck !

  • I mean Ke2 ,not Kd2 :)

  • Could white not win a pawn after Black's Qc8 move by Bxf5, exf5;:Q x d5 instead of playing Kd2 ?.Or am I missing something ?

  • Surely the guys are distracted by their opponents' good looks ? :)
