One of my teachers use boston speakers. but the catch is they are TINY the small boxs the speakers are in look like they could be no bigger than an inch or two. But those things put out some sound! And yea good bass too o.O I need to find out the model of those things because I want some, they are loud too for their size. I had to bite my tounge so as not to yell DAMN when she accidentally had them turned all the way up when starting a movie. They were so loud and had such deep bass!!!

1) The speaks only play down to 120 hz, which means the sub will have to play into the mid bass region to blend with them. Bad bass, or a hole in the frequency. 2)High def TV's arent affected by speaker magnets-it's the old TV's that were affected by the magnets. He's misleading you.

@enyceckk101 -better in which way? its not like a 8 inch subwoofer in a bandpass box is not going to flex enough to alter the sound of that little thing. now getting into 12" and 15" thats when it need to be MDF..but other its not a big deal and the plastic actually looks a lot more modern, now a days its all about fiberglass and plastic as long as we can because it looks a lot more futuristic
the sub looks lyk a trash can =))
