  • what a horrible video I've watched 5 min of this video and all I've learned its a nice shiny box and you have a mac. 2 things I didn't need to know!!

  • @TobiasMegaEpic

I'm sorry you didn't like it! I am not a tech reviewer, I am a vlogger.

  • Just a couple of questions about this drive:

    1) When the PC is powered off (but still plugged in) does the blue LED still show?

    2) Does the drive spin-down?

    3) Can the blue light be turned off?

    thanks

  • all your questions are either answered in the review or in the comments on this video.

  • Actually, I checked the video and the comments before I asked, there wasn't mention of spindown or if the light can be turned off.

  • did you check the updated review? here are the answers,

The blue light only blinks when the drive is in use.

The drive does not spin-down by default, but this can easily be done through software.

The blue light cannot be turned off the way it is now. You could of course hack it and put a switch in or disable the light entirely.

  • @the731272 I actully do think it's nice looking... but I wouldn't put the designers name in the description of this product. It's not like it's hard to get that putting logos and unecessary curves on the unit will ruin it. Doesn't take a genius. That's why mac products look so nice.

  • Don't buy this. Looks pretty. Fails early. (no not the power supply, USB, E-SATA or FW cable). Poor design

  • @rampagetv

Jesus there really are for everything and everyone these days!

  • the guy who designed this is the new einstein he made a black box! :O i'm pretty sure even a mentally challenged person could make a better looking external
