Any Civil Engineer would state that 'Spray Foam' out preforms Fibreglass hands down due to the effect of reducing those serious convected currents which leak through the Low Thermal mass of Roll insulation or loose fill following the path of least resistance ...plus the 'R' Value of same drops off by as much as 40% at low ambient temperatures in the roof space...according to a recient report in 'Good homebuilding' which tested all three methods of loft insulating...

A loft takes 12 minutes. Girl shown would put her foot thru the ceiling by the end of the morning. Job shown is poor, 90% of professionals wouldn't pass it. Insulation is fluffed up too much, forget all this talk about 'trapped air, its baloney. You can have a bag of Fibreglass 2 inches thick which weighs 25 lb, or a bag of 8" inches thick which weighs 25 lb, the 8" sells for more. Insulation makers are con-men selling fresh air. Sprayed foam is crap, no good.

Density matters. Foam is xxxxx

@atvking04032 It's probably not even a real loft, just a set. They don't want to show the reality of crawling around, trying to unroll blankets to the edge of a roof that meets the loft floor at an angle of 25 degrees, leaving you no room to get within 4 feet of it.
