Its about a french monk who needed to ring a bell for a village (the reason I forget) but he was a lazy so and so and slept, the other verses are almost forgotten and seldom sang, most non french speakers know this song well, british change it to egg and baconX2 fish and chipsX2 soggy semalinaX2 i feel sick (need a s*** or hospital quick or simply repeat i feel sick)
