So the cop does a great job but this puke will probably get a suspended sentence with credit for time served - 1 day prior to his "promise to appear". It's time the courts started kicking some of these guys asses.

you have to be a fucking RETARD to break into cars on the ferries... people stay in cars to read books and sleep. its impossible to not get spotted. plus there are cameras all over the place.

It's one of three, the Queen of Cowichan, Queen of Coquitlam, or Queen of Oak Bay. All three vessels have very similar interiors. The Queen of Surrey is also similar, but it serves a different route.

If you listen, he says he is an off duty member of the RCMP. I know he is, because I've met him a few times while he's on duty as well.

This dumbass was more than likely served with a PTA or 'Promise To Appear', because he was arrested for a similar crime in Comox the very next day. Guess he doesn't know when to quit huh? ^_^

Not too sure about that, because he's been working here in Nanaimo for quite a while now. But if it was him, I hope he turned it in.

Wouldn't you be if someone was stupid enough to break into your car and keep dening it while you had proof that they did it? I would be. Heh, I wasn't able to get my Camcorder out fast enough to capture it, but just before I started filming, the suspect resisted a little bit and was slammed into a row of Payphones.
