While I have no idea why Smith wrote "Wealth of Nations," Murray Rothbard said that Adam Smith hardly contributed to economic understanding. He may very well be a tool for "state capitalism", but that is something very different from the laissez faire of the Austrian School. I think this video, as well as part 1, confuses the two. True laissez faire is very different from what the video describes.
