Kringstad Ironworks designed a screener prototype used to sort the dirt, snow, and debris out of the beet piles before they are hauled into the American Crystal Sugar Beet Plant.
It has a 16 foot vibrating screen section and in two separate semi-trailers that are hooked together for operation. It has a 600 ton/hr capacity and potential could save the company millions of dollars in avoiding EPA issues, reduced lime usage in processing, less mud build up in the ponds, and plant efficiency.
