  • In regards to CSection - Your fears were my experience. Being emotional about it is completely valid. I hadn't prepared myself nearly well enough for the possibility.

My version of chest to chest was when they brought her over - SCREAMING - and put her little head next to mine. As soon as I started soothing her she stopped crying, turned her head and tried to suck on my cheek.

It might be different than you wanted, but know that your first moments with them will be just as special. :)

  • @thebubblelush Everyone I speak to tells me that, too. I guess they're right but it still hurts to think about. LOL it's a funny thing to get jealous of huh?

  • I was Dx'd with GD as well & my advice would b 2 stay on top of the finger pricks! By being diligent with testing u will b able 2 more swiftly 2 decide if the diet change is adequately affecting BS levels. I found out quickly that my diet (& I went strict) was not working. I went 2 injectable insulin pretty quick. BUT the excellent news was as SOON as I delivered I'd lost 40 lbs!! Only gained about 3 throughout pregnancy & 12 at the end-and I'm a BIG girl! Praying for u & ur family! HUGS&ok2cry!

  • @uabcjgrad2006 I finished the 3 hour glucose test today at 11:00. It sucked as it always does lol. My 1 hour results were a 160 and supposed to be 140 or below, so apparently it was on the high side :(. I'm so curious to see what the results to the 3 hour will be. I hope I pass because I don't want to have to go through the finger pricking and all the other things I'll need to do. Ugh...::sigh::

  • Oh Mama, I hate to see you cry... My heart aches for you, I'm speechless!

  • sometimes the 3 hour test comes back normal. i had GD with my last baby. i did have to do the insulin but it wasn't something that most women need. i won't say i enjoyed it but i got through it. i did enjoy the non- stress tests though. i got to hear his heartbeat for an hour each time, which i loved! i had 6 of them and the nurses really got to know me so when i had my baby i felt very comfortable w/ everyone. sometimes a mama has to cry to do what she has to do. ((hugs))

  • hey girl. I wish I could give you a huge hug. I am in your same situation. Baby A is breech but she flip flops at every u/s B is transverse and i also have to have a c-section. If you need anything or someone to talk to...I am always here. Congrats on 28 weeks though. :-) I just had my 30 week check up, the doctor told me at this point if born their survival rate is 95%. Just thought i would send a positive note on how wonderful it is that you've made it so far already. Hang in there.

  • @123BabyDust Baby A is breech and Baby B is transverse

  • i know that feeling

  • pills. Checking your blood sugars isn't as bad as I thought Ither. I have to check mine 4 times a day. Basically your pancreas is just to tired to make more insulin for you. You have to eat less carbs and move a little more and you should be ok. Once you have the babies it goes away. There is a chance that the GD could turn into Type2 within 10 years but again it's a chance. I really hope you feel better soon and don't stress to much about GD.

  • Hey, I'm sorry to hear that you may need a C-section that sucks, but at least you will be ok and so will your babies and that's the important thing (you are probably so sick of hearing that) I was diagnosed with GD and it really isn't so bad I was super upset when they told me and cried but after going to a GD class and learning more about it it really wasn't that bad. Basically you just change how you eat and control it with food. If its cant be controlled with food they may put you on incelin

  • YOUR HURT! You need your huby to achknowledge that. So sorry! THere still is a chance though, hold on to this. But this video is your way of preparing yourself for the chance that it could be a c-section. Just wait to see what your body does for you. If c-section happens than you know your babies you have dreamed of for this long will be healthy. Remember, (dont know if it will help, because your feelings are valid) but many woman still cannot get pregnant even with IVF. Be praying for you guys.

  • Your makeup always looks so pretty hun :)

I didnt get to see my son (aprt from the split second he was popped over the curtain) for HOURS after my c-section... In recovery they refused to let me see him until i could life my feet off the bed :( I couldnt even see him wen they were tending to him and i didnt get to hold him til he was 5days old... So, pretty traumatic experience :'( Hope yours turns out to be not as upsetting as you are thinking now hun xoxo

  • Aw sweetie, you need a huge hug and know that everything will be ok. I have five children and had gestational diabetes with three of them. You won't need to be put on insulin, they only put you on insulin if you can not maintain your blood sugar levels even while following the diabetic diet. And you will be able to do it being that your blood sugar levels, though high, aren't too high where you couldn't keep them in check with diet. Everything will be ok.
