  • 1. why does this look different to me than the kicks that the thai people do?

    2. what are the advantages of this over the thai style?

  • @SelfDefenseLog To be honest when i first started boxing and Muay Thai I thought there was one universal style for both but as I train I've noticed every gym has there interpretation of certain techniques like the jab, cross, round low kick, round high kick and the teep/foot jab. With this Thai Style round kick I went for the version that generates the maximum amount of force, where others are meant for speed or deceptions.

2 This style is meant for power to intimidate or finish your opponent

  • Watch where you put your left hand (behind the back). I don't think that's a good place to place it.

  • @fishywtf I've been told that before but when I'm going for FULL power I throw EVERYTHING into it. I haven't had anyone be able to spot or counter it in 12 years of sparring or fighting so I'm gonna stick with it a little longer ;)
