I would like this Margot more if her wardrobe was better. The outermost layers of her clothes are correct (i.e. wide stripes), but because she isn't wearing stays, you can see weird bulges and her bosom is in the wrong place. Jane overacted frequently, but at least her clothes fit. Come on, BBC. Surely there are proper corsets available...

@RoronoaEmi yes it was armand chauvelin in the book
-
For the past three years whenever rumours of cruelty or ruthless persecution of innocent men and women had penetrated to these distant corners of Dauphiné or Provence, the name of Armand Chauvelin had stood out as the protagonist of these terrible tragedies; people spoke of Danton the lion of the revolution, and also of Marat its tiger, of Robespierre and of Chauvelin.

@m6o oh hell no!! maybe YOU should go read the books. like Sir Percy Hits Back. here, i'll give you an excerpt so you won't have to hurt your poor little brain to go find the truth for yourself.
-
@RoronoaEmi No! if you read the book, you will find that it is Paul Chauvelin chief agent of the comity. Armand is not Chauvelin. Read the book, don't be ignorant.
-
noooooooo!!!! Chauvelin's name is Armand! ARMAND!!! not Paul. the hell??!!! or Bibi. hehehe kudo's to anyone who gets the reference. XD

Maybe Elizabeth McGovern doesn't have the sort of grace and beauty that Jane Seymour has, I personally thinks she's a better actress than Seymour...

@BumbleBeeInABluebell in the 1936 version she was placed in a prison by the marquis because she loved his son.
in the 1980's version they atually got it right, the marquis had her brother beaten because he loved the marquis' daughter, just as it was in the book only sir percy doesnt save armond in the book.
has anyone else ever noticed that with every new adaption of the scarlet pimpernel what the marquise does to margarite has become crueler and crueler?
