this is one of my fav songs she dose, i actually love her songs that did not become here stellar hit's, and yes i understand Lennon fans trashing it because your Lennon fans but please know she would have never sang the song with out his approval, and he loved her take on it, artiest respect each other i just wish fans of faf artiest would respect other artiest who cover there songs.

Oh dear. Having heard BS (?) version of this classic at last I must say... NO! The original is turned into some bollocks hybrid of Broadway and soul. None of John's raw emotion remains here at all. In other words...shite!

I am not a huge Streisand fan, but I have always felt that she really nailed this. I am sure her complicated relationship with her own mother, and her father dying when she was a kid, helped her to deliver this "spot on" performance.
