@SquirrelFromGradLife I don't even understand it and I'm an atheist. I'm all in it for the cheap entertainment. If I really wanted objective fair rational argumentation I'd be reading a whole lot more books.

@T0X0PHILUS You people are lucky. Here in america its the same bull shit everywhere.

@HybridD91 Okay, let's get back to the original dialogue. Are you say there are atheists because science disproves the existence of God? I am in agreement that there are still fundamentalists who will insist on being anti-evolution and will have a literal interpretation of the beginning of Genesis.
-
Do you really believe any theist will understand anything of what you just said? That was very many grown up words in a row..LOL..or maybe that was the point?.. I believe the latter...
-
@shkotay Can you give me an example?

@WinteRest49 Quite so, and responsible people say "I dont know the answer, but I want to learn more" about those gaps. Its when ppl fill in those gaps with "god dun it" whre we have issues. If they keep those issues to themselves, no biggie. But when the religious come into a public forum and claim the reality of god and his alleged impact upon the world they will be called to defend their statements and shown bluntly the absurdity and contradictions of their stated beliefs. Its a service.

@shkotay I have no problem with the findings of science. Everyone has gaps in knowledge.

@WinteRest49 And when atheists base their arguments from science and good scepticism, I find it hard to accuse us of sophistry. That usually rests in the base of the religious. You might also wonder why the most staunch atheists were all religious before as well. For my part, I couldnt paste over the gaps in knowledge in my life anymore with "god dun it". Science is indeed supposed to be in conflict with claims that cannot be proven.
In Europe we are in a 'post-christian' era.
