  • If you didn't say this was a different truck I would've thought this was 64 again lol Pretty sure I remember reading about this special find though. I sort of wonder why you never see these MSL guys using that step?? Like I only saw this guy use it once, compared to that M325 driver who appeared to use it everytime... must be uncomfortable stretching out to the hopper all day like this. Nice footage again and congrats on the diff. CWS :)

  • @MitchellM15 You know I wonder the same thing all the time about the step. My best guess is that it's easier for some of the taller drivers to just go without (as in faster), and for others they just don't want to make their legs ache after stepping up and down all day (they do it enough getting in and out of the cab). If it were me I'd use it all the time like that M325 guy as you recalled, just helps you get up over the load and get everything out. 64's driver NEVER uses it I think....(contd)

  • (contd.) ...and my driver of #44 just leaves it folded up! So I'm also confused why they hate that feature here at EDI/EDCO lol...or for the most part. Thanks for the comment + congrats! Do you like the sound more on this truck (might be worth watching a few seconds here then immediately going to a 64 vid and seeing the vast difference).

  • nice to see this vid neer christmas Merry Christmas to you and family

  • Thanks--hope you did the same :)

  • Hey! Its weird seeing another one other than 64. What collection day was this? Who did trash + recycle?

Merry Christmas to you and your family Scott

  • Appreciate it--you too!

  • Thes autocars are SOOOOO slow. I sure miss the CCCs. I would muck more pefer that single axle Maxon on a Converted WHITE compared to this

  • i`ll tell you from expierience that this is back breaking work. i did this for ten years prior to the new automated system we have now and my body feels the work. im sure glad with the new system.

  • @Trashman242 I guess jumping on and off the step constantly, combined with in and out of the truck, would make the legs and/or knees ache after a while. If it was me, I'd probably focus on using the step more for the heavier cans... ah I dunno, guess you sort of lose either way eh? After comparing the engines, I'll have to go with 64... got a bit more of a 'rough' sound - otherwise they sound quite alike with the sort of high-pitched whistle.
