「"中華人民共和国"香港特別行政区」になった香港は中国共産党が情報統制目的で設置した広域ファイアーウォール「金盾」の影響下には無いですが、香港メディアは本土系企­業の影響等もあり徐々に媚中になってきてるよう。そんな香港メディアのカンヌでの取材に対して、チベットへ多額の寄付を行ってきたシャロンは語る。
"(四川大地震の件は)非常に興味深かった。中国人(共産党)のチベット人への扱いに不満を持っている。私の良き友人であるダライ・ラマへの対応も良くない。地震やあらゆ­る出来事に関して、"これは業(カルマ)かしら?"と思った。" etc.

"Well, you know, it was very interesting, because at first I am not happy about the way Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anybody should be unkind to anybody else... Then I've been concerned about how should we deal with the Olympics because they're not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who's a good friend of mine. And then all this earthquake, and all this stuff happened, I thought, is that karma? When you are not nice, the bad things happen to you. And then I got a letter from the Tibetan foundation that they wanted to go and be helpful, and that made me cry... That was a big lesson for me."

His Holiness the Dalai Lama said "We are not a threat, but an asset to China," & reiterated that the Tibetans were not seeking separation from China but a genuine and meaningful autonomy for the Himalayan region.

We all love Freedom & why not for Tibetan, they are the mostly suffering from your severe Policy.
