  • I have the same kit! You can check it out in a variety of tunings and styles on my page. Also my kits is from 2003 the kick is 18X16 and I belive it makes the kit much more versatile than the 18X14 which comes with the current jazz kit. I put a Evans Emad on the kick and I pull the ring when im playing jazz but when im playing funk people are amazed at how much it projects. cheers

  • are you playing the discontinued kit with the 16x16 kick?..on a scale of 1-10 what would you give these drums in terms of projection and tonal qualities?..thinking of buying one for pub and small club gigs i have.. the one i have my eye on is a 5 pc. with 8-10-14 and 16x16 kick..and a matching 5x13 snare i think..also does the kick produce a big sound if properly miked ? thanks..they sound great by the way !!

  • Hello and thanks for the comment;-)This kit as 8" 10" and 13" toms, i was playing with 8" and 13";-)

    Cheers

  • you got yours with a 10" tom? cool man. (by the way awesome solo)
