i was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan (you spelled it wrong btw) and i even remember my grandpa telling me that it used to be called Alma-ata or something like that which meant "apple and grandfather" or something along the lines. at often times i lie and say i was born in russia just because it's embarrassing to admit that you were born in potentially one of the most dangerous places on earth. my father is legally russian and my mother is western european. only i am haunted by my birth record
