  • Lovely to see a young English girl who sings traditional songs of our country, the Welsh, Scots and Irish have several.

  • This is pretty(: Wait... That is about the most uneducated way to address something... Let me start over. This song is beautifully sung with the most perfect singing techniques. Laura Wright has a gorgeous voice and portrays it in the most appropriate way.

  • i was gonna sing this song for my music practical exams but i kept forgetting the lyrics so i just sang skye boat song. but even after my exams i just CANNOT stop listening to this song!!! it is soooooo... lovely! very nice voice btw!

  • Thanks for telling me. However, I was aware of this since I been playing the tune since the early 60's.

The comment was about all the songs and not just The Ash Grove.

  • @johnroberts262 The Ash Grove is a Welsh folk song!

  • sounds incredible beautiful even when she takes it up an octave. Strange its the first time I heard of her. She sings beautiful and looks beautiful great combination. I see she sings skye boat song also. One of my favorites. Very historical song about the battle of Colludon where King Jamie who is still a boy at the time is put in a boat and taken to the Isle of Skye and than unto France by ship to escape the enemy. Betty Mclean gave me a book by that title Colludon what a gory story.

  • i swear...you have such an angelic voice...love it!

  • Absolutely loves this version of this song.

  • Our children are learning this song for our folk song music appreciation and I chose this version because it is just beautiful. We are also doing the Hymn "Let All Things Now Live" set to "The Ash Grove" melody.

  • Lovely song, beautifully sung.
