It's nice to see Christians acting Christ-like for a change. bravo to the Marin Foundation ... - I walked away from the church many years ago, in large part from h8, history of violence and hypocrisy - (no i CANNOT be converted back - lol)...

thank you....seeing this really brings a faith in humanity that i had lost....it's so good to see the love of Christ coming through again....Jesus IS love

What you are doing is good. You are right. This is what Jesus will have done.
He will heal the sick.
He will dine with the tax-collectors.
He will love the gays.
He will share his loaves and fishes with the Muslims.
Jesus is all about love.
but theres one thing he hates.
The Pharisees. The Religious scholars and the self-righetous fanatics.
Compare and contrast with todays Republicans.

As an agnostic atheist and son of a gay mother, I want to thank you and everyone who is involved in this organization. It's wonderful to see the stereotype that all Christians are hateful and anti-gay be shown completely untrue. If more people, regardless of faith, were as accepting as you guys, this world would be a better place. We may disagree religiously, but you guys are true bros and I'd love to hang with ya'll any time. You have my support.

I love and respect you guys so much. Thank you for this

Why does there need to be a "bridge" connecting the Christian and LGBT communities? There shouldn't be any gap between them in the first place.

Untill I saw this, I thought all Christians were antigay.

@rg0057 I've been treated poorly by somebody of every different color and religion at some point. If some person who claims to be muslim does something horrible to me, I'm not going to make every muslim apologize to me. Its just as racist for those who thinks that every muslim is a terrorist just because of 9/11. These people have apologized for themselves and that is commendable. They can't make up for the past mistakes of every other christian and its ridiculous to ask them to do so.
The responses to this video have been pretty intense and for good cause. While I won't try to address all of them I will say this. The Marin Foundation is a single (and small) organization with a focus of building bridges between the church and the gay community - as such they navigate difficult role of building alliances from various perspectives around these issues. As others have stated before "I'm Sorry" is the beginning and hopefully much reconciliation will follow.

@davidbrucemusicvideo - hey man! I did post about it on facebook the day of and for a few days after. Unless you're talking about inviting others to join in beforehand. It was circulating on facebook (a few people we'd never met before came to support too!), but no I didn't send out invitations personally. I still wasn't sure how to (or who to) invite so I just let people know what we did. :)
