The Jellicles' utter reverence of Deuteronomy is so heartwarming, in my opinion. Even as Deuteronomy himself talks about how he's getting old and has to go slower (3:40) they just give him this stare of utter adoration.

I don't know why but ever since I could remember I alway though that Rum Tum and that other cat (cat remember his name) at 2:25 where like brother and the sons of Old Deuteronomy, and Rum Tum was kinda like the bad seed, and if Old Deuteronomy died Rum Tum or that other cat that kinda already acts like leader when Old Deuteronomy not around would have to like fight for the throne.. But personally I think the other cat should get the throne and Rum Tum should just be himself and have more fun XD.

That's what I thought as well ealier today. Munkustrap just seems so... noble and true, like a leader should be. I'm starting to think that Munkustrap might quite possibly be either Deuteronomy's son or apprentice.

The heavy side layer the cats sing about is heaven. Grizabella dies and is reborn . That is what tey sing about. Munkstrap is the day to day leader of the Jellicle cats. Old Deuteronomy is the oldest and wisest if the Jellicles and makes the decision of who gets to go to the heavyside layer.
