Women In Rock part 4: Linda Perry, Debbie Harry & Barb Morrison talk about rock

Having toured with so many successful women -- Courtney Love, Deborah Harry, Brody Dalle, Juliette Lewis -- I've been thinking that there seems to be a severe lack of acknowledgement and support for the creative women of our time.

In the 200 shows we played in the year and a half before being signed to a record label, I don't recall once supporting or playing with any other band fronted by a woman. I wonder where the future is for women when the rock 'n' roll world is predominately male orientated.

So I'd like to introduce you to some incredibly creative and talented woman who survive, create and contribute to the world of rock n roll.

My aim is to put up some interviews, some works, some writings by all the women I have met and will meet who I admire. From singers to producers to writers...

This pisses me off. Because of what the one woman said. There are a tons of bands in Europe rock or metal that have female singers and just becasue they don't fit her image they are not rock. Floor Jansen is more metal and rock then most women in the USA.
