Sexual Assault Arrest

LOCAL MAN ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT, LVMPD LOOKING FOR MORE POSSIBLE VICTIMS

On September 17 , 2009, de th tectives from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sexual Abuse Detail arrested Matthew Joseph Andrews, 19 year of age, for Sexual Assault and Lewdness with a Minor.

During the course of the investigation detectives discovered that Matthews mother, Holly Andrews operates a day care out of her home. The day care is located at 8500 Eddy Stone Avenue, in Las Vegas. It has been in operation since January of 2001. Day care services have been discontinued since Matthews arrest.

Metro is concerned that there may be other victims and is asking parents whose children have attended Holly Andrews day care, and believe their child may have been abused to contact the LVMPD Special Victims Sexual Abuse Juvenile Section.

The lead detectives on this case are Det. C. Jex ph# 455-5427 and Det. J. Lafreniere ph# 455-1372.
