Some say that the "Jug" is big and ugly. I beg to differ. I myself have been a big fan of the "Jug" and decided to kick off the arrival of WWII aviation with this video, and, show how beautiful the "Jug" can really be.

  • Cool!, can you do one of the well...i think its called the ''B-52 super fortress''., oh, And the Stuka?

  • Sure thing! I can do it on the Stuka.

One question about the second one:

Did you mean the B-29 "Superfortress" from WWII and the Korean War?

  • Yeah, sorry about that, the b-29 super fortress, is it one of the bombers that bombed the atomic bomb on Hiroshima?

  • yes. We also used it in the Korean War.

  • Any plane that can come back from a mission with a couple of cylinders shot out has my vote. Try doing that in a Mustang

  • "Clipped Tips, Bubble Top, Paddle Blades...now that was a REAL airplane!"

Tuskegee Airman, Class of '45-D, George Prather on his P-47N.

  • P-47 it was known to be the best american fighter-attacker...it was awsome for its ground attack roll..and was well trusted in dogfighting... it had 8 x 50s what more could a pilot ask for :D...

If i had been a pilot during ww2, i would have picked the P-47 any day...

  • Still underrated! Very versatile and as deadly as it gets. The P-47 made the difference during the invasion of France, Italy and Germany! The pilots were the essence of what we call men!!!

  • Not late for me.. I had only just seen your comment.. and the video, when replying! And as nobody else had come back to you.. well, BasicMuddling to the rescue, as always.. I live only a few minutes (by bicycle) from the Boxted Air Field, where that Thunderbolt flew from, and I hope to get round to building as many of the Boxted P-47's as I can.. and any other Jug from the 56th FG.. :) All in the Gentlemans scale 1/72, of'course..

  • Thanks despite the late response. =)

  • Hairless Joe.. flown from Boxted by Col. Dave Schilling! I have looked everywhere for decals of that plane in 1/72 scale.. can only seem to find them in 1/48.. :P

  • Whats the name of the plane at 1:19 at the bottom? I have the model of that but I threw the box away.

  • Hard hittin ,fast and tough as nails . Whats not to love about the "JUGGERNAUT"

  • LOVE DEM JUGS !!!!!

Back in the days of CB radieos, my handle was "The Jug Lover"!!!

Check out 201 Squadron of the Mexican Air Force.
