One of Van Halen's originals from their club days.
This song is amazing, I don't know why it didn't make it to any of the albums, maybe it'll be in the new one?

  • The minute long intro to this song was definitely inspired by Tony Bourge and Budgie.

  • @BigSCTVfan Holy Shit! I love Budgie! Most under-rated band in history... Not to mention that Tony Bourge is incredible.

  • any chance you have "Jean Genie"?

  • Yeah, im pretty sue I do. Do you want me to upload it?

  • that'd be cool...it's a good cover.

  • Ive got two different ones, the 1974 gazzaris dance contest which is medium quality and another one which is later on, and is longer and the quality is better. Which one would you rather?

  • We REALLY need a kick ass box set from the Mighty VAN HALEN! Can you imagine if Ed pulled out all the stops and they released all of their club days stuff (remastered of course) along with all of their out takes from the studio?! Songs that didn't make the cut etc. They could charge $2000 and I would buy it lol!!

  • if they release a new album anytime soon if that happens they should go back and take all of these amazing unrelased songs and record them and it may be diffrent then 1976 but it would still be very cool. rock on van halen

  • the riff is budgie or focus 'hocus pocus'.

  • Let's hope this one will be on the new Album.

  • they played SHES THE WOMAN at the cafe wha show , its an oldie n its on the album!

  • It's amazing how tone Eddie used to be when he was younger. He never even worked out, but was very defined. He always had pretty big arms when he jammed.

  • Always one of my favorite of the unreleased tracks. Terrific intro and it really kicks into gear when Al starts motoring.

  • bad ass song

  • I HAVE ALWAYS FUCKIN LOVE THIS TRACK...THANKS FOR POSTING!!!!

  • i'm sorry ed, you are one of the greatist RR guitar players of all time. but, ted templton and don landee are gone. where is mikey, micheal anthony? did i spell that correctly? anyway, you get the .......gist of it.

  • Pic @2:43 is one of my favorites of Eddie.

  • The part of 0:46 until 1:00 is simply one of the greatest things I have ever heard in my life. There's such a western feeling to it, like i'm riding my black horse while I look at the sun rising. : )
