You could with your hands but that might damage the surface. So to answer your question yes you could...but not recommended.And it all depends on the density of the clay. I plan on spraying duratec,it's a hard surface placed on the clay and then actually paint this project.

I actually made them ,I used the blueprints and applying the 45 degree and the baseline of the car to determine the surface points.
