Coventry Carol, mezzo-soprano with guitar

This song is sung rather blythly around Christmas time. But if you listen to the words -- It's really a llullaby to sooth a baby and keep him quiet so that he can be hidden from the king's murderers. This is about a tyrant, and a politician King Herod - who murders all the children he can find because he believes one of them might be a future kind who will take his crown, or get him into trouble with the Romans.
That's pretty grotesque stuff....

This is an recording I made on a macbook right here in the back room in November of 2008. It was up on a previous channel I had, but with a mirror effect. This time I have added some other visual effects in iMovie HD. The new effects half blacked out the original title, so I added a new one.
