Pakistan Media Team SAMAA attacked by ANP terrorist in Karachi

Media team of a Private Television Network SAMAA TV become hostage of armed terrorist belonging to a political party, ANP (Awami Natioanal Party), in the area of Katti Pahari, Karachi, and their van was burnt by them.
The team of Journalist and another few abducted people were recovered by the Town Police Officer of Anti Car Lifting Cell, that raided the area to recover some lifted cars and fortunately recovered the abducted persons.
The gang of ANP kidnapped people for ransom and was demanding 20 million as ransom.
Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) on Thursday held Bhalo Group of Awami National Party (ANP) as being involved in attack on SAMAA TV's vehicle.
ACLC Town Officer Shehzad said he entered Kati Pahari area chasing a snatched car, where 200 gunmen of a local notorious Bhalo Group surrounded them.
ANP represent a faction of Pashtuns residing in Sindh and has its government in Khyber Pakhtoon khawa Province (Previously N.W.F.P) of Pakistan. In Sindh ANP works in collaboration with the extremist elements of different banned sectarian and religious groups.
Journalists covering Karachi violence and crimes are continuously receiving life threats from gangs involved in these violence. Just a day back, host of a popular TV show "Target" aired from "AAJ TV" Network, Sherry escaped an attempt on his life near Rabia City in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Rabia City is also a occupied project by ANP gangs. Sherry program "Target" expose different criminal networks running in Karachi.
