@fhqwgads2 My bad. I just checked it out on Wiki - I must've been thinking of her kittens, "Nip" and "Tuck".

@fhqwgads2 I was in Baltimore's B&O Museum in the early 1980s. They had a display of Chessie calendars from WWII where they mention Chessie dragging boyfriend Peake into the war effort!! Chessie's a war cat!

This video is incredible for so many reasons. I miss Chessie and Piki! These were golden days of railroading.. horns, locomotives, paint schemes and bells.
-
Also, at the second shot, does that WM unit have a Leslie RS5T?
-
Cool video. Man, just look at all the fallen flags road names on those freight cars; Chessie System, L&N, Illinois Central, Penn Central, Conrail, Western Pacific, SCL, Frisco, man, they're all there.

I remember seeing the Chessie quite often in Garrett, Ind back in the day..

i like the 2 different painted western maryland SD40s great catch thank you for sharing!
Why the clickety-clack sound of each car and locomotive? Aren't they riding on continuous weld rail?

Were ALL EIGHT locomotives in this video powered up or were some of them just being pulled to a new location?

I think that only a few of them were running. It was a power balancing thing.
