too bad the nabucco project died just a couple days ago with Turkey signing with Russia on South Stream which will make Nabucco totally unnessary for Turkey. EU should have played its cards more wisely, but it may be too late now to chance Turkeys mind

i who has german as a mother tounge have been reading the economist for a long time. for everyone who wants to read a german paper wich is on the same intelectual level i recomend Der Spiegel

It seems that Russia will retain its monopoly. Baltic pipeline (nord stream pipeline) is almost finished - first pipe is ready to be filled with gas, second pipe will be in no time.
Despite all said in the video, russian gas and oil industry is in good shape. Actually, if anything is in good shape in Russia, it would be oil and gas buisness. They alone have all the needed funding, fantastic equipment and modern infrastructure. And now Arctic is russian too (suck on this, Canada!)
