Knee pain that is well localised but where there are no clinical signs and the MRI is normal is often due to a band or adhesion within the knee. This is most common after minor injury and arthroscopy where there has been bleeding into the knee. It is easy to deal with by keyhole surgery as long as the surgeon has marked the site of your pain.
