Kirkcaldy 2011 New Years Day Dook
Loonies sought for Kirkcaldy New Year dook

CRAZY Langtonians are being urged to forgo their creature comforts for a short time on New Year's Day to help in the battle against breast cancer.
The fifth Langtoun Loony Dook, where volunteers plunge into the freezing waters of the Forth, will take place by Kirkcaldy's basin car park at noon on January 1, 2011.
And organiser Ann Belton is hoping for a record turn out this year - which she promises will be her last!
Ann, who organised the first Langtoun Loony Dook back in 2007 because she couldn't make it to the South Queensferry one, will be doing the dook in memory of her mother Anne (79), who was from Kirkcaldy's Linktown, and who died in March this year after a long fight with cancer.
And she wants as many others as possible to boost the numbers and raise bucketloads of cash for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Anyone who would like to take part can contact Ann on (01592) 783580 (01592) 783580 or email: weeann64@hotmail.com.
