Gashaw Tahir, an American citizen, returned to his birth country of Ethiopia to find the green hills that surrounded his home eroded and ruined due to deforestation. So he decided to do something extraordinary: Plant one million trees.

Ethiopia is also losing a lot of trees to foreign land grabbers from India, Saudi Arabia and China as the reckless regime continues to sell land for a very cheap price.

Gashaw Tahir, God bless you, trees are very important, trees make the world green, healthy and productive. In the country side there is no alternative energy, people cut trees daily to build houses, cook food etc.
