  • Thanks.... This is the best collage of Newark I've ever seen. BUT, I wish it was SLOWER.... Pics fly by too fast.

  • Thanks Jerry, I know the speed was a little fast, the origional video is much longer. I promise that sometime in the future I'll do a slower more comprehensive video of Newark and its neighborhoods -

  • @jerryvitale427 When i was watching this video i said the same thing u said the pics go by too fast, i had to pause the video just to get a good look at the different pics.

  • The buildings behind Woolworths were pre-Prudential....:52 sec mark. Too old for me. Sorry he didn't get a picture of the old Lackawana Broad st. station or the trolley exit behind Kleins (the tunnel exit from Penn station is still there). Thanks Wrazzaq

  • My grandmother still lives in Newark and it brought memories when I read a coffee table book about Newark.

  • I miss Newark. We used to go to Weequahic Diner after a night out. Their strawberry shortcake was so good. And Bamberger's! I spent a lot of Saturdays and lunch hours in Bamberger's. When I was a tween, my friends and I would skate Saturdays at Twin City. I remember S. Klein, Woolworth's and McCrory's, and I loved shopping at Hahne's. I went to South Side High. Remember the Milk Bar on Clinton Avenue? And I miss Hobby's Restaurant. They've never heard of half sour pickles in Georgia!
