President of The Magic Circle, Ali Bongo, passed away at 9:00am on Sunday 8th March 2009. He will be greatly missed, and was a good friend of mine. I was asked to talk about Ali on the Breakfast show of BBC Radio Oxford. Here is the recording along with a photo I took of Ali at a Magic Circle event.
Do you know the name of his tv show late 60`s (sat am) ? I spent a good 3 months in hospital `68 and recall ali bongo and Laurel & Hardy as a real pick me up.

Thanks SO much for posting this wonderful tribute to a wonderful artist! I've ALWAYS loved his act! Wish I'd seen him in person. I feel a special kinship with the great man though, as my first & middle name is William Wallace! God rest his soul.
