Its just a compilation of my favourites bands..... some are folk, some viking, some pagan...etc.

NOOB ensiferum is melodic death metal, and wtf is this with viking metal, that is a name noobs invented
viking metal isnt a genre it can be a theme from a band, do you think all the pagan metalbands write songs about vikings? Ensiferum songs theme is 'viking/ viking mythology' inspired but 'viking metal' isnt a genre noob,
Same way with amon amarth, it isn't viking metal, there theme is viking mythology BUT ITS DEATH METAL learn it pls before commenting on others, ty

These viking metal bands(I'm talking only about viking metal bands, not pagan overall) are very nice, but I think instead of talking about norse mythology histories, they could teach values about the Asatrú and show the religion, not the mythology. Yes, mythology is cool as well but when some people hear about mythology tales they think that it is an old thing, a past thing. Asatrú has not died !

Im not bad mouthing any bands here. I just found this type of metal genres out a few days ago. Are there any folk / viking metal bands that have vocal styles more like the deep growling sounds of death metal like Amon Amarth does? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Greetings from the U.S

pff of course they are folk or viking... but there are 9 other groups that are not ensiferum....
