Settler Violence in Hebron

You may have heard brief blurbs about settler violence against palestinians in hebron, you may have even heard Ehud Olmert, the prime minister of israel, call this violence "a pogrom in the worst sense of the word", but to truly understand what's going on in hebron you have to see it yourself. and you can see a new experimental tv station broadcasting from hebron which uses mostly palestinian home videos. They do interviews with israelis and palestinians, and they let you see the footage that palestinians have begun to take of settlers harrassing and attacking them. They palestinians have learned that although the settlers have no fear of reprisal from police or soldiers, they are afraid of the video cameras, because they don't want people to see what they're doing to palestinians on a daily basis. and take a look at the "shministim" or "12th graders". These are high school graduates who have refused to serve in the israeli army because of the occupation of palestinian land. Please sign their letter to the israeli defense minister and do what you can to support these brave young israelis as they endure repetitive incarceration because of their love for their fellow human beings and their uncompromising commitment to peace and justice. They did a really simple, but really difficult thing, they said "no". Please visit these sites and donate to them if possible and tell your friends.

Wrong on both counts. Israel is neither a 'country', nor a 'democracy'.

Israel has no constitution which is a fundamental requirement for any democracy. Constitutions are needed to establish clearly defined physical, ethical, humanitarian and legal borders, recognizing both the rights and responsibilities of the citizens living within them.

@moons160 No, I'm not insane, I know history. The IDF has repeatedly massacred civilians and has destroyed entire villages, like Dahiya for instance, which is where the dahiya strategy comes from. The IDF repeatedly targeted mosques, schools, orphanages, and even UN compounds when they attacked Gaza, and the idea is to act with reckless disregard for civilian life. I don't remember who said what exactly, do some research, or don't, if you don't care about facts.

1) Israeli soldiers do not "demolish entire villages of civilians" to terrorize the enemy. Are you insane?

IDF specifically targets terrorists and even changes rocket coordinates when they go into crowded civilian areas.

2) I certainly do not agree with everyone and everything in the Israeli government, but first give me the names of these "prominent officials," then we'll talk about what they said. And hypocritical much? Do you have any idea what hamas and palestinian government say?
