Grant Stinnett plays a jazz bebop solo over a standard. Grant is playing a LeFay Singer six string. This bass is tuned low E string through high F, rather than the normal alternative B through C. This allows Grant to play with a jazz guitar sound while at the same time maintaining the essence of bass.

  • DAT SKILL

  • You've got very good control.

  • @Basnisse Dude, Bebop is where you take jazz and speed it up to the point that it becomes more straight eights. That's how it's supposed to sound. Check out Oscar Peterson, and Pat Martino, and Wes Montgomery, and Chick Corea. If it's not your style, that's cool though.

  • Great technique! But! "It Don't Mean a Thing If You Ain't Got That Swing". There is no swing only technique.
