I don't think the size matters much. Something you're not using, like a 390 out of an old Typhoon. Heh. It just cuts down the air flow. If you've got 'em capped off, try it and let me know what you think.
I'm just getting started with videos, so my channel only has my dogs on it so far, but I'm going to get a bike mount and do some rides on my '01 Royal Enfield. That's the plan, anyway.

OOooo! two of your finest please! with cable chasers :-D

Hi gordonemoore I never liked the o-rings always leaking the cornflake box gaskets do a far better job :-)
I removed the balance pipe as she is rarely on tickover, but with your suggestion I think I will put it back on, What size of jet would you use?
thank you for the great comments btw :-)
carb sync vid is a great! idea.

I have a box full of choke slides if you need some. That was a joke.

I like that you've replaced the silly carb flange o-rings with proper insulating spacers.
May I suggest you do a video showing Bonnie owners how to synchronize their carbs?
Here's a tip you probably already know - put an old Amal main jet in the hose between the intake manifolds. You might get a slightly better idle.
HI John..finally got mine started today..what rpm do you set the idle at on a new build ? I have synched my carbs as you show..

Congrat's on the starting nemo "did she sound good?"
I like a low tickover on mine around 500-800rpm and blip the throttle.
A std tickover is around 1000-1200rpm.
If your carbs are original a steady tick over can be hard to achieve,
carry a screwdriver so you can adjust when out on a ride and motor is at full working temperature.

Hi OzzyDave6969, There is only the outside of them left, the insides burned out years ago:-D they are welded to my front pipes and are fitted with homemade chicken-wire and fiberglass baffles :-) and aluminum end caps to hold them in.
